Spiritual Cause of Gum & Dental Problems
In my work as a therapist, I look for the root cause of health or emotional challenges, and using my own unique healing methods, I help people all over the world, via a Zoom call, gain better health and well-being. In this article, I will be writing about the metaphysical or spiritual cause of gum and dental problems.
There are quite a few spiritual causes of gum and dental problems, and in this article, I will share a few in the hope that this will help you better understand the relation between unresolved negative emotions and the health of your gums and teeth. We were given an amazing dental set for biting and chewing, which can represent a built-in aggressive expression of having to look after ourselves; “getting our teeth into things”, baring our teeth, and a willingness to stand up and fight.
When suppressed dental problems can result in a feeling of overwhelm, feeling compelled to take responsibility and “biting off more than one can chew.”
The metaphysics of chronic dental problems can also reflect probable unresolved issues which may have spanned many lifetimes. In my work as a Soul Whisperer, I am also able to help you clear echoes of trapped emotions from past lifetimes.
The Spiritual Cause of Bad or Decaying Teeth
There may be a difficulty expressing our aggression. The collective problem, especially in western civilization, relates to being socially acceptable. This results in a deeply suppressed aggression lying beneath dental problems.
Our vitality or life force is reflected in our teeth. The saying to “never look a gift horse in the mouth” relates, to not just checking a horse’s age, but it’s vitality. Losing teeth can relate to a loss of energy.
According to Louise L. Hay, problems with the teeth relate to longstanding indecisiveness and an inability to break down ideas for analysis and decisions. This is especially true of root canal work.
The Spiritual Cause of Teeth Grinding & Gum Problems
- Teeth grinding can relate to not ‘getting a grip’ on something that is ‘hard to chew’. This can symbolically represent our inability to “snap at people” that has been a challenge during the day.
- The gums represent the foundation of our teeth and therefore there is an inability to back up decisions, reflecting a lack of positivity. By the same token, the gums represent our basis for confidence and self-assurance.
- Bleeding gums are a result of inflammation (anger and resentment) at putting up with unjustified conditions. One’s confidence and self-assurance, together with joy, can drain away when there are demands on our vitality.
- Swollen gums can be due to deep-seated grief over insufficient nurturing. As to receding gums, there is frustration and anger at how life is going.
- The incisors relate to being eroded by others. People wearing us down.
- Problems with wisdom teeth represent unresolved feelings of neglect and rejection as a child.
The Spiritual Cause of problems with Specific Teeth
- Upper teeth Problems with our own authority.
- Lower teeth Resisting responsibility and receiving.
- Right teeth Unresolved issues with the father.
- Left teeth Unresolved issues with the mother.
According to Dr Michell Caffin, an oral surgeon, he found that the different quadrants of the mouth related to certain feelings:
- Upper right teeth Difficulty finding a place in the outside world.
- Upper left teeth Difficulty in fulfilling the desire to be.
- Lower right Problems making a concrete plan
- Lower left Lack of emotional recognition within the family.
According to Louise L. Hay in her book, Heal Your Body, the probable cause was not giving yourself mental space to create a firm foundation.
By applying my own unique methods, I am able to get to the root cause of why you have gum or teeth problems and assist you on your road to better health and well-being.

Hi Tony,
What a brilliant blog !
My top front left tooth is wobbly obviously due to the gum receding
What does that particular tooth and section of the gum represent
Thanks
Sam
Hi Sam,
There may be a lack of practical grounding, having to figure things out for yourself.
This tooth also relates to the kidney and bladder meridians:
Kidney meridian relates to hidden fears; fear of being alive, fear of imminent disaster,
Sexual insecurity and indecision.
Bladder meridian relates to a lack of inner direction, feeling controlled, resulting
in a restlessness and impatience.
Generally, teeth relate to decision making and the gums relate to the support for those
decisions, which may have been absent.
If you would like to go deeper into this, and clear these from your system, here is the link to book your Zoom appointments https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments-and-events/

Thanks Tony,
This all rings so true, I’ve recently lost my mother, which in turn has bought up an incredible amount of fear and indecision.
I’ve been struggling to give up cigarettes for a long time, Louise Hayes says addiction is Running from the self. Fear. Not knowing how to love self.
In your opinion do think she is right or would you add anything here
Thank you so much, really appreciate you knowledge
Kind regards
Sam
Hi Sam,
Losing your mother would have reminded you of your childhood when you
took over your mother’s high levels of anxiety and loneliness. You now
express her fear of rejection and abandonment, together with poor
personal boundaries.
There is a need to calm your mind from stress and circumstances that you
cannot control. If you need assistance with this, book your Zoom appointments here https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments-and-events/
Last question Tony.
my top front teeth are both now turning a very dark brown at the tip furthest away from the gum.
Any thoughts on this please
Hi Sam,
It is good to have a dentist’s opinion. The feeling behind the condition relates to difficulty
in coming to effective decisions. There may be a fear of taking assertive stands and actions.
It may be a result of confidence and competence being undermined at an early age.
Tony,
What does groin pain represent, what is reason of it? I dont know it visits me out of blue.
Hi Fatima,
You have so many questions, all of which you might find when Googled. If you want to address these problems
I would suggest that you make an appointment so that we can get to the seat of what is troubling you.
Hi,
I would like to know the reason behind black tartar on my teeth.
Hi Fatima,
It is time to live out of your Divine Self, as you are there for others and not for yourself.
You may prefer to stay hidden and not really coming out. You may feel you have to protect yourself.
It is time to trust in your inner Self. Allow your creative powers to unfold spontaneously. Decide
that you are good the way you are without seeking confirmation from outside of yourself.
thats true I do feel the way you just explained.
and what is the reason plaque on teeth?
I have tinnitus and discoloring what are the reasons behind them?
The plaque relates to taking in everything and everyone with open arms but not really feeling good about it., as you don’t know who you really are.
Tinnitus relates to not listening to your ” inner voice”.
Time to trust in your original inner nature, your inner Self. No longer conceal yourself behind others. Open up like a flower in bloom.
discoloring on face* and eczema as well.
You have been feeling controlled, judged and manipulated, but too scared to move away from those who have antagonised you.
Hi Tony, I am on a huge healing journey. My upper left gum is diseased, exposing my upper wisdom tooth and the one next to it. My lower left wisdom tooth is wonky, and my lower front gum has started receding. I know it’s the feminine side getting my attention, on my mother’s lineage. And the emotions underneath, I’m feeling resentment and anger mostly. I can usually work with these emotions and release, this seems to be getting worse so maybe I’m not quite getting it right. Any further advice please? Thank you.
Hi, Kim, The gums are experiencing frustration and anger over your life is going. The feelings of unfairness
and discrimination/deprivation feelings will revolve around your mother. You have either been at the receiving end
of her suppression, or you have felt her repression. It goes back to your childhood where you lived in a cloud of blame.
There is a problem with decision -making, as well as a lack of support for your decisions. If you want help
with your situation, visit my website: nergetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments/ Warm wishes
Hi Tony, this was a wonderful article to read. I myself have had 3 of my back teeth removed from my lower left side. I have been grinding to the point where 2 of the teeth could not be saved and I chose to not go down the road of root canal for the other. I have had serious issues emotionally with my husband and anger for the last 6 years at least. I now need to get implants or dentures for my lost teeth and this has just made me miserable. I am hoping this is the last of any teeth problems for me and want to work on the spiritual and underlying causes. 5 years ago I also lost one tooth on my bottom right side. I thought that was bad and never thought in this one year I’d lose 3 more! I loved your article and glad I came across it. Hoping I can start on my healing.
Hi Olj, While you have problems with your relationships the teeth problems could continue. Teeth grinding relate to
a fear of expressing your emotions. Especially resentment and anger. You may have difficulty in handling your
instinctive, intuitive and spontaneous reactions. You may also feel a bit alienated in the world. If you want help
in these areas, visit:https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments/
Hi Tony!
I have a very unique situation. When I was 6 years old, my upper incisor was loose; preparing for my adult tooth to come in. My cousin and I were jumping on the bed and her head collided with my mouth. The tooth came out, but my left upper incisor never came down. Years later, I found out that it was compacted. In my mid twenties, I discovered that there was an additional babytooth keeping the adult tooth from coming down. That was removed, they opened my gums up, attached a chain to it and the orthodontist attached that chain to a bracket/braces in hopes of bringing it down. It never came down. I am in my late thirties. I have had a very traumatic relationship with my mother and her mother gave her up for adoption. What can you tell me about this and could energy work actually bring it down?
Thanks for reading this 🙂
Hi Mia,
There is no guarantee that energy work could bring it down. However, helping you release the trauma that you have inherited can make a big difference to your life,
as, like the tooth you were not allowed to develop into adulthood. When this trauma is released there is an opportunity for the tooth to come down.
Hi Tony, thank you for posting on this topic. I’ve been struggling with receding gums starting with my very front lower right tooth for years now (not exactly sure how long its been going on). Although lately about 2 weeks ago I noticed the receding has gotten worse and then the left front tooth next to that one has suddenly started to receed rather quickly, and seems to be out of nowhere. I’m begining to worry…I understand that there’s indecisiveness and I find it interesting because I’ve been battling with trying to decide if I should see a dentist or not, because I don’t know what will need to be done and I’ve been trying my best to do anything herbal or natural at home. Lately I’ve been feeling really defeated as I know I have the ability to heal myself, but I don’t know how to address the underlying root cause to achieve permanent healing for this. Am I supposed to meditate and reflect on it? Journal it? I’m really stuck…I appreciate any feedback. Thank you again for sharing your kind wisdom.
Hi Rachel, your mail reflects a pattern of indecisiveness which will make you feel wishy-washy. This may
leave you with a self-resentment for not addressing issues in your life.
The program behind your condition relates to an inherent suppression of women, where women were made to
believe that they had no power. this, very often begins in childhood. Sexual abuse is a way of leaving the
abused child with guilt and self-hatred while the abuser walks away.
A child can also feel a mother’s suppression and abuse and almost accepting this as normal.
What has not been mentioned is reason for female suppression, which is worldwide and goes back centauries
The reason is a fear of that wonderful female creative power, which is much more powerful than the male logical energy.
Time to call back your power and take charge of your life. It is better to take a risk than try to stay safe and
indecisive. Be guided by the wonderful female power within.
Warm wishes
Hi Tony,
Can a session with you heal the underlying root of cavities and thus heal the cavity itself. I do not want to surrender myself to conventional dentistry.
Hi Hannah, although damaged teeth may not heal energetically, the underlying root cavities can be addressed, as there are important suppressed feelings behind the cavities.
Good evening Tony,
Greetings from Gadigal and Wangal Lands, in Sydney’s inner west. Thank you for sharing your work and insights in this forum, it’s been a pleasure to read and very inspiring.
In January 2022, I cracked my lower right 1st molar while biting down on an otherwise very soft pizza. The true cause was grinding at night while my ex-partner was away on a hiking trip. He had begun to spend lots of time with a woman he met on the trail, which culminated in his unfaithfulness and our eventual parting ways.
During our relationship, my upper right wisdom tooth became impacted and caused infection, leading to three lapses of tonsilitis. I’d never had tonsilitis before. I had it removed, but never dealt with my split tooth. The relationship itself also felt unstable and insecure – while he knew I had a preference for monogamy, his actions and behaviour told another story to the women around him.
After we broke up, I was single for a few months, and I loved my solitude. After a while, I started receiving interest from people, and I took to dating again. Through several short-term connections, I learnt a lot about my boundaries and how to express them. I also experienced plenty of ‘love-bombing’ encounters and learnt how to slow and set a comfortable pace regarding emotional and physical intimacy. Many triggers relating to my love-ability and trusting the other were also awakened during this time.
I’ve now been dating a lovely man for five months and the pace has been slow and steady. He has a real sense of stability and grounding, unlike my ex-partner. I feel contained and held in his kind and protective masculine energy.
My split tooth has begun to cause me pain, and I’ve finally booked in for root canal therapy. It feels really good to resolve this issue that I’ve felt frightened to confront for over two years. My gums have also experienced on-and-off inflammation for the last year, and my dentist has advised a great treatment plan that’ll clear up the minor bleeds and redness.
Thank you for reading all of this, Tony! My question for you now is, what do you see in my experience? What connections, spiritual and metaphorical, do you notice in this chapter of living and beyond?
It would be lovely to receive your impressions and connect. I also began studying art therapy in May. Lots of inner material is emerging to be processed and dealt with, it seems!
Wishing you a lovely day/evening, where you are!
Warmly, K 🙂
Hello K,
Our bodies express our life situation and feelings. Your teeth carry an ancestral program of indecisiveness. As the gums
As the gums support the teeth, when there are problems there has been a lack of support in your life. Especially
from the males in your life. The inflammation in your gums relate to the suppressed anger that you have carried
for those who have not supported you and towards yourself for not being decisive enough.
Time to call back your power as a wonderful creative woman. Art therapy will help.
Warm wishes
Tony
Hi Tony,
I am experiencing a really painful infection in my gum, which is affecting the bottom 2 molars, right at the back on the left side. I have been through a big trauma with a broken shoulder in the last year, not long after the birth of my first daughter. I have also have been having a lot of financial worries over the last 3 years. I would be so grateful if you have any insights 🙏🏼
Hi Isla-Rose,
You have been experiencing your mother’s ancestral program and inherent feelings A trauma after the birth of your child will remind you of your own birth and childhood. Suppression of female power will be running in the background, resulting in feelings of being discriminated against and persecuted. You have felt vulnerable and powerless in an overwhelming world.
As women have been persecuted due to the fear of a child or young girl returning into that beautiful creative woman many women unconsciously suppress that power. It is time to call back that power.
Up until covid i had experienced so much trauma and abuse that I had overlooked and the universe was shaking me waking me up. I chose to walk away from jobs, friends, my in laws even my sisters and family of origin as it was clear to me they had no good intentions for me. I had been grieving and self isolated for four years developing great ptsd and anxiety. Since just last year I have been embracing my anger and fierceness standing for myself and not suppressing, I’ve found my inner ferocity and as well as detaching from feeling responsible for things. I finally said no and put myself first. However today I had to get my upper back right tooth removed the one infront of the wisdom tooth. It was resorption which means it’s the body breaking it down, rejecting the tooth. I wonder what the significance of this is and how to translate it into my life. Thank you so very kindly.
Hi Sandra,
The meridians relating to the tooth that you mentioned relate to the stomach and spleen meridians, which relates to a great deal of underlying worry and anxiety. If you want help in addressing these worries you could make an appointment in my website. Warm wishes
Hi Tony, I recently noticed a very small cavity in my third and second molar. I have always had obsessive thoughts, and low self esteem. Is it possible by changing my mind, through meditation, and understanding the root cause, rebuild these teeth on their own or is it something that I need to fill and work on not having any more decay happen.
Hi Daisy,
Your priority is to address your obsessive thoughts and low self-esteem, as your body is merely your messenger. These are areas that I can help you with

Hi Tony,
Hope you’re well.
Reaching out here.
My right Canine is rubbing up against my upper lip and starting to disturb it.
Any possible causes of what it may be trying to tell me?
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Matt,
You may be carrying a great deal of hidden rage towards your parents ( especially your father). You may feel that love is untrustworthy.
All the best
Tony
Hi Tony. I’m so grateful and thankful for the information and wisdom you share. I have enjoyed reading the comments and your insight. I have had many issues with my front left side tooth. I had a root canal done on it in past and after it developed a crack down middle. I was in the process of getting a crown put on and right before the tooth broke off with root still in. When dentist tried to remove root and in broke off in pieces. I have to go to oral surgeon now to have rest of root removed and then look into tooth replacement options from there
Hi Natalie,
You may find that you are unable to “bite into” anything anymore, as your foundations and beliefs may have been undermined, leaving you rudderless without direction.
Life decisions that you may have been avoiding may now be surfacing. This involves responsibility-taking, decision-taking, and direction-taking.
” I create firm foundations for myself and my life. I choose my beliefs to support my journey.” Louise Hay
Thank you so much for your time and insight. I will work the information and affirmation you shared. Wishing you many blessings
You are very welcome, Natalie.
Hi Tony
I have Inflammation of my lower left side of my mouth. Gums Inflamed. I did brush quite hard on back teeth to prevent plaque build up. I am now wondering if “The Universe” is sending me a message . I had eczema last week in my left ear . Would be greatful for your help
Hi Mags,
In general terms, you may not be getting the support to back up your decisions, as you lack the positivity of following through. You could be carrying some mental eruptions that you would rather not listen to. The challenges relate to a female relation or partner.
I am so grateful to have found Tony and his energy healing and work. I have been searching for a way to heal my trauma for years through therapy and an array of different modalities. I have hope and certainty in my healing like never before. Thank you, Tony!
Hi Sabra,
If you want assistance with this you can go to my appointments page in my website. Warm wishes.
Thank you for all your insights!🌸 I have impacted lower right wisdom tooth and after 4 years I have again been having pain in gums behind and the jaw joint, swollen lymph node, very sad being alone on vacation with my daughter. Hoping it won’t get worse this time…would appreciate any advice you might have!🙏
Hi Madara,
You may have an underlying resentment about how things work in the world and you have a grim determination to make things happen your way.
There could also be suppressed grief and despair (suppressed crying) from your very early childhood.
Hey Tony,
Thank you so much for this article.
I’ve been healing myself for the past 3 years – had gut candida, acne, and overall inflammation and digestive problems. most of the problems are gone thanks to holistic approach to my body & soul.
I always knew I had “bad teeth”, thought I inherent it from my mother, who died from cancer when I was 17. I want to solve it and not being depended on dentists. The past few days I have a massive pain in teeth 18-19, the gums there are inflamed and painful, I can feel it till below my chin! I think I should have a root canal there but I’m scared and I want to solve the root cause.
would really like to hear from you about how to think about it – what should I madidate on? which emotions are seeking to release? and how?
Thank you so much <3
Hi Natti, problems with the teeth relate to decision-making and the gums relate to a lack of support. The 18th and 19th teeth relate to the lung and large intestine meridians, relating to feelings of intolerance, unworthiness ( yet, feeling you know everything), over-obsession, anxiety about details, grief and detachment with the Lung meridian. The Large Intestine meridian relates to holding on to things no longer needed, guilt, self-worth, with a need to control. Should you like to work with me to shift these emotions from your system, you can book your Zoom appointments on this page of my website https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments/ Warm wishes, Tony
Hi Tony,
I have a small painless bump on my upper right gum between teeth 6 & 7. My dentist is sending me for a biopsy and I’m terrified. What might be the spiritual cause of the gum papilloma?
Hi Tina,
The metaphysics teach that you may have a need to worry to live and you are anxious about the future. A childhood trauma can make you over compassionate and you could have difficulty in taking things in. Some positive affirmations are:
“I have faith and confidence in my future.”
“I am secure.”
“I am fair and compassionate towards myself.”
Hello.
Recently my niece had her wisdom teeth removed and they also removed a cyst with one. There was also a 5th tooth that didn’t show up on the x-ray but that they did see as they were finishing up. Can you help me understand the spiritual root of the cyst? I’d greatly appreciate it.
Hi Megan, the cysts relate to feeling her parent’s ( usually mother’s) inherited unresolved guilt-based self-rejection. The majority of us are unaware of the amount of emotions that are absorbed from the parents.
Warm wishes
Hi Lavender, you may have a problem in coming to effective decisions and difficulty in dealing with your instinctive, unconscious actions. There seems to be a suppression of the feminine. There may be an ancestral pattern in the family.
Hi Tony,
For this past year I have been struggling intensively with systemic inflammation through my whole system: In my gut (test results from a lab confirmed that all is below optimal and inflamed), my gums (as my dentist recently made me aware of inflammation and recession of the gums) and my brain (I get massive inflammation migraines). I’ve been trying to get to the energetic root cause, but I have not been able to resolve any of it. It’s been depressing and draining the quality of life away. I made diet changes but they’re also not solving it. There are days where I just don’t have the energy to do anything. Any insight from you would be much appreciated. Love and Light, God bless You, Lilly
Hi Lilly, you are enraged at the Universe for the ” raw deal” that you inherited from the beginning ( feeling inflamed = feeling very angry). You feel betrayed by everyone because of your circumstances. Being a nice person you have been unable to express the suppressed feelings. These are areas that I can help you with. Warm wishes.
For last several days I had swollen right gland. I have broken right 6th tooth. First small throbbing but last night shocking pain in jaw, tooth, gland and a bit ear. I have swollen gum with probable abscess. Small relief after using essential oil and warm compress.
I am afraid of dentists, roots canal and extraction.
Hi Alek, You have difficulty in developing a deliberate conscious attitude in the world. There is some hidden chronic grief and sadness. Due to you feeling trapped there is a strong need to control with an inability to let go of the past. As you are a creator, the fear of something can make it real. To start visualising the gums settling down and being surprised how well it goes at the dentist can make a big difference.
Hi! Recently I found out that upper left 13 and 14 have major issues. I had an abyss on my gum and had pain that I thought was from clenching. It turns out I might have a crack in 14 and they are thinking about pulling it and an implant. I’m getting a ct scan for more clarity. In the meantime is there a way to move this situation in a better direction? I’m so nervous about this. Thank you!
Hi Liz, as you may have felt a bit of an outsider in life you have a strong need to be loved. You are uncertain of your self-worth, resuling in a fear of expressing your self-expression, creativity and sexuality. It is time to claim your beautiful feminine creativity that was suppressed early in your life. Warm wishes.
Hello, I appreciate reading your insightful comments. I’ve recently had an extraction, #24, lower left front, and implant. it is healing but loss of gum may require a graft, another bone graft, and the too beside on the right is a bit loose. There is a lot of flux and uncertainty about where this may go. Any thoughts or feelings would be appreciated.
Hello Karen, although the teeth and gum problems are being physically addressed, there may still be some underlying feelings, such as anger and resentment relating to making decisions and expressing yourself. This could have, most likely, started in your childhood, or passed down through the ancestral line. You could have felt attacked and poisoned by those who should have supported you. This may still be continuing in your present state.
A Louise Hay affirmation is “I make decisions based on the principles of truth, and I rest securely knowing that only the right action is taking place in my life.”
Warm wishes, Tony
Hi Tony,
I am amazed by the way you are able to look into people’s issues based on their teeth/gum situations. I am a firm believer in Louise Hay, and that every physical issue is caused by something much deeper, more spiritual.
I am scared to go to the dentist and even more scared they will want to do a root canal (I hear horror stories about them), so I really hope you can help. The gums between my bottom right 2nd and 3rd teeth from the front are completely enflamed and rising up between the teeth. There is some inflammation along my gum line as well.
I started a new job 6 months ago and was dealing with old childhood trauma at the time. I have autoimmune hepatitis, which has also flared up, and I feel like they may be connected.
Would love recommendations like you are giving others here on affirmations and meditations.
Thank you!
Hi Anita,
These are areas that I work on with clients. There is a great deal of suppressed anger and resentment, made worse by allowing others to get away with it. Inflammation( ..”itis) relates to hidden anger. The childhood, hidden feelings have been surfacing, made worse by feelings of betrayal and lack of support with your decisions.
Here are two affirmations suggested by Louise Hay.
“My mind is cleansed and free. I leave the past and move into the new.”
“I open myself to love and joy, which I give freely and receive freely.”
Thank you so much!
Hi Tony,
Thank you so much for the abundance and insightful information. I find you and your work extremely inspiring. I just met you today through this article. I stumbled across this article as I was searching to understand better what I am going through. It’s funny, because I have googled information about this before, but just today I found your website…I guess now I am ready for it.
I have agenesis (absence of the two upper lateral incisors). When I was 18, I got implants for the two of them. Some years later, the gums on those teeth started receding and you could see the implants’ screws. I had a gum insertion. But just months later, I can notice the gum receding again on the left side. I am feeling very sad and frustrated as I do not know how to heal this physically. Reading your article, a couple of things resonated with me… I am aware that I have to work on my confidence and self-assurance, as well as in creating my place in the outside world fulfilling my purpose in this life. I am slowly getting to work on those, not sure how to do it faster.
I am very intrigued as to know if the agenesis, since I was born, were already setting this path of work for me? Was my spiritual work already “blue-printed” when I go the agenesis? Are the receding gums a result of how I am living my life and the fact that these areas are not healed. Or is it a wakeup call to learn and grow spiritually?
Thank you once again for the magical well of information. I cannot wait to dive into the other articles and get to know more about your work.
Elena
Hi Elena,
You have been grieving for joy, fulfillment and significance in you life. Your experience was that anything
good would be taken away, and that if you pursued happiness, they would only end up failing in life.
Your confidence was taken away from you, leading to an inability to back up and follow through on your
decisions, resulting in little potency or confidence, and they have no sense of security.
There is instead a pronounced sense of vulnerability and weakness, along with considerable grief over the insufficient nurturance, grounding, and teaching they received when you were growing up.
However, this can change, as these are the areas that I work on. I would also look up videos on “Bashar” or go to bashar .org.
Warm wishes
Hi Tony,
Thank you very much for your time and answer. It means a lot and I will continue my work on these areas.
Warm regards,
Elena
You are welcome, Elena.
I have a tooth root access on the lower left molar . I had this problem 30 years ago. It has been fine since . In the last 2 days it has been thrombin my face is now swollen and the gum is inflamed. It is the anniversary of my mother death today she died in 1993 aged 56. I think that it is relevant. We had a rather rocky relationship but as far as I am concerned any suppressed emotions on my part have been healed. I was 26 when she died. I have recently separated from a 12 year abusive marriage with a Narcissistic man. So I’m sure something energetic is behind this.
Hi Maria, anniversaries very often surface hidden pain and trauma. Creating a narcissistic partner als relates to suppressed childhood trauma. These are areas that I can help you with. Warm wishes.
Glad I found your page! do you recommend braces. My right front tooth is poking out and other misalignments but I wonder if it’s best to deal with the issues the teeth represent rather than aligning them.
Also how would you avoid taking a molar removed. I have a root canal second last molar on the left and it’s reinfected, and been told needs to be removed. The one on the other side as well.
I want to have a session with you but I am saving up for dental treatments that I’ll need.
Hi Anabel, both the structural and emotional issues have to be addressed, as there are multi-life issues that you have not been able to handle. Warm wishes.
Recently had severe pain on left side of face. Got a root canal on tooth #12. Pain is back in same tooth. Dont know what to do now (on many levels). Would appreciate your insight.
Hi Heather, root canals relate to losing one’s grounding and beliefs. You may feel a bit directionless at present. This may be the result of multi-life issues that you have not been able to handle. There may now be pressure around responsibility -taking, decision-making, and direction-taking.
The particular tooth relates to the Lung meridian ( intolerance, unworthy, knowing everything, over obsessive, anxious about details, grief and detachment), and the Large Intestine meridian ( holding on to things no longer needed, guilt, self worth, and a need to control)
The gums of my lower molars have been inflamed for a year now. There has been some slight discomfort from time to time bit it’s now increasing. I’ve been to two dentists but they don’t see any infection in xrays. Is this something your work would help with? Thank you!!
Hi Heather, yes, I feel that I could help you with your gum condition and should you like to work with me, you can book your Zoom appointments on this page of my website. https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments/
Hi tony! Thank you for your support. Doctor says I have to do a root canal. I have pain on my lower left tooth, what could be the possible reason for it?
Hi Ashmeeta, the root canal symbolises an accumulation of multi-life issues that you have not been able to handle, relating to responsibility-taking, decision-making, and direction taking. It has come from self-defeating parenting.
I had a crown fitted for my front right tooth in my child hood. This crown was replaced few times till date. Recently came to know that there is a significant bone loss and the crown is not having enough support and is getting loose. Doctor mentioned new crown/Implant can not be done because of bone loss. Would like to know the cause for bone loss. Also, if bone can be healed further?
Hi Namita,
The bone loss can relate to feeling a real loss of standing in the world, and there is deeply hurt pride in you. You feel under-rated, invisible, unappreciated and exploited. You are very angry about this, and it gives you the pronounced sense that the Universe is unjust and indifferent.
“Competence-avoidance.” You tend to have problems with coming to
effective decisions. You also have problems with authority — Your own. Heal your emotions and heal your body.
Hi, I’m really struggling. Three years ago a premolar upper right began growing inwards. I had braces to fix it but rather than fix it it ruined my whole bite. Losing my occlusion has affected my entire life. I cannot chew or relax because my teeth meet like a bag of rocks in my mouth. I’ve had points where only my back molars met until these were shaved down. Also the premolar that begun all this was 360 rotated which is very rare in nature. What can I do?? Dentists are only helping slightly.
Hi Emily, the premolars relate to the lung and large intestine meridians. There can be underlying feelings of chronic grief and sadness, intolerance, feeling unworthy, yet knowing everything, over obsessive, anxious about details (lung meridian)
Holding on to things no longer needed, lack of self worth, and controlling ( large intestine meridian)
” I am worthy, humble and tolerant. I let go (breathing out), I am inspired ( breathing in), I let go of what I no longer need, I am worthy of love, I am basically clean and good.”
Hi Tony, my first left molar was extracted yesterday after getting 3 round of root canal treatment in the last 8 months and having a constant on and off inflammination around it. 2 dentist suggested the extractionand although for yeas I was having dream about this teeth being pulled out or falling out /breaking/ being a diamond etc still I couldn’t accept the fact and wrap my head around that something so firm and steady will be taken out of me that belongs to my body and so visible. I have been feeling very depressed and hopeless ever since. Feeling unworthy and powerless, Emotionally very vulnerable. Although in the moment I left the dentist my days long dizziness and nausea and light headness went away and in a way I felt a relief. Yet I feel guilt that maybe it could have been saved and I should have tried harder to believe that it could have been healed… What would you recommend how to deal with the loss and the guilt? How to accept the fact of an implant ( again something that doesn’t belong there)? I took my teeth home and planning to plant it in the soil and do a little ceremony as I let it go. Thank you so much 🙏
Hi Birgitta, This dream symbolizes a feeling of powerlessness or anxiety about losing something important. It may also indicate a fear of change or a need to let go of something in your life. Alternatively, it could represent a desire to express yourself or communicate something important.
The first molar relates to the spleen and stomach meridians, where there is an underlying worry and anxiety about the future. There seems to be signs of childhood sexual abuse, either yours or one of your parents.
Implants can work. However, they do not bond with the gum like natural teeth, therefore more care is needed to clean around the base of the tooth.
Do not feel guilty, as it would be a repeat of your childhood guilt . Guilt seeks punishment. Yes, you can plant it and give a ceremony of gratitude. Warm wishes.
I first had my first root canal treatment at 11 years old I’ve had teeth out more root canal fillings on most of my teeth snapped teeth I had filling 2 years ago and already need filling as they again have more holes I always wondered why some people that don’t brush or do anything different to what I do have ok teeth mine have always been a problem never smiled properly so a child with teeth problems like I had my siblings teeth r ok just mine what happened emotionally for me?
Hi Louise,
When teeth are affected to that degree there is often a big ancestral program running relating to decision-making and lack of emotional support, which may may have presented themselves in one of your parents.
By deciding to call back your own power there is a possibility of making life easier and easing your teeth problems. These are areas that I address in my work.
Hi Tony, I was wondering if you could help me understand why the gums around my wisdom tooth on the bottom right side of my mouth have become inflamed and swollen. Additionally, I’ve been experiencing a chronic canker sore on the inside of my mouth. Could you shed some light on the possible meanings behind these symptoms? Thank you.
Hi Denise,
You are not giving yourself the mental space to create a
firm foundation for yourself. You are afraid to open your consciousness
to the expansion of life. You have the fear that you do, something
dreadful will happen. You have a restrictive consciousness and a belief in
scarcity of the basic necessities for survival.
“Deprivation-grief.” There is a deep-seated grief over insufficient
nurturance and sustenance currently and/or in their formative family.
Time to call back your power.
Hi Tony
I saw you for a mind blowing session couple years ago that was deeply healing beyond what I could imagine. I am going to book another now! I want to ask, do you believe that periodontal disease has a spiritual root also? It came on so fast and aggressively, and I had never even had a filling before. It feels somewhat more stable to me, although they still describe my condition as severe and chronic. The dentist tells me one tooth is very infected and needs to be removed to stop the infection from spreading. I am scared this was not meant to happen. But if it is happening then it is meant to be happening right? And there is deeper meaning/ lesson to uncover? On a good day I trust and in difficult moments it feels so sad this has/ is happening.
Hi Sasha,
Sometimes old ancestral trauma can surface out of the blue. However, there will be something in your present circumstances that will be triggering an ancestral situation where decisions had to be made and where there was a lack of support, which may now be surfacing. You may be carrying a suppressed anger over your situation.
Warm wishes
Tony
Deep thanks Tony, that really resonates and illuminates blind spots for me 🙏
You are very welcome, Sasha.
Hi Tony
A piece of tooth fell out of my bottom left second molar about half a year ago, today the refilled part (and it seems some more) fell out again. It looks like the tooth is being eaten away from the inside. I’d love to hear a little on the significance of this.
Thank you so very much for sharing your understandings with us.
Robbie
Hi Robbie,
You may feel intensely vulnerable and unprotected around decision-making issues. Your family may have stayed uninvolved, however, when you did make a decision it may have been rejected. the family may have been too absorbed by their own issues.
There is also a connection with the lung and large intestine meridians, where various feelings can surface, such as intolerance, anxious about details, grief and detachment relating to the lung meridian. The large intestine meridian relates to holding on to things no longer needed, guilt and a need to control
Warm wishes.
I’ve had an abscess that came and went from my last tooth on the bottom left (not the wisdom tooth). Now it’s still not 100% and the tooth socket seems inflamed. I’ve been having issues in that area since 2019 before this but x-rays in 2021 had come back completely clear and the dentist shrugged me off and said I was fine. What would you say is causing this and what can I do/shift to help it to heal forever?
Hi Amber, the fact that the dentist said you ere fine physically it has been the emotions that have been triggering your condition. There has been a lot of grief and sadness around the feelings of lack of support and care in your childhood. resulting in self-punishment. You may now be looking back in anger about the whole situation ( inflammation). You may still feel unsupported in your life. Time for you to take over!
Hi Tony, my question is. Is it safe to pull out teeth that have been infected and abscess inside the roots. Does it effect our spiritual journey. As I feel sad and overwhelmed knowing that I need a few teeth that are infected at the roots pulled out , it’s like something is being taken away from me mentally and spiritually ?
Hi Viv, on a practical level it might be good to have a second opinion before teeth are extracted. Also, Google hydrogen peroxide and Xylitol for infection. There are different emotions relating to each tooth, as there is a connection to the meridians. You are carrying an ancestral program relating to decision making, resulting in overwhelm.
HI Tony,
I came across your article by chance. I would like to know how to heal my gums. My teeth are always been great but a decade ago, I started to lost teeth. Upper two molar, left lower molar, and two lower front teeth. And now left lower 2nd or 3rd teeth’s gum starting to have problem, And I notice those lost teeth have receding gums as well. Receding gums on lower teeth next to the missing teeth. What can I do? What do they want to tell me? Is false teeth for those missing teeth the only option? I really like to regrow my teeth. THANK You , Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Ellie,
Something happened a decade ago which triggered memories or trauma manifesting learned helplessness and difficulty in making decisions arising from insufficient nurturance, grounding and teaching when you were growing up. This may result in an inability to back-up decisions due to a lack of confidence and no sense of security ( the gums support the teeth)
I work with assisting clients in calling back their power and value so that the body, which is the messenger, no longer needs to express the emotional trauma physically.
On a practical note, acidic and sweet food aggravate the condition due to a lack of sweetness in your life, combined with acidic thoughts. Warm wishes
HI Tony,
Thank you for replying. So I have to avoid caffeine and any type of juice? How about those negative thoughts? I do see a lot of those thoughts, fearful especially when I wake up everyday. Thank you again.
Hi Ellie,
Sugary foods and drinks are the most important things to avoid. Emotionally, take over your own life and decide what you want to do and where you want to go before relying on others. Look for something that inspires you and go for it without fear.
Hi Tony I have had major issues with my teeth since my early 20’s now 33 going on 34 soon. I have lost multiple teeth. All of my wisdom teeth were pulled out along with my 4th top left tooth all at one time. 2 years later I lose my top 4th tooth from decaying cavity as well as my 6th tooth on the lower left side and the 4th bottom right and now after revisiting the dentist to restart my dental recovery journey I am told I have 3 more cavities. I also now have a hole in my gums in the lower right side where my 5th tooth is missing I m looking for some helpful insight into the root cause of this. I appreciate your time help and feedback.
Hi Chaquista, you have a fear of losing your identity and source of power, so you hang on to your trauma, stubbornness or resistance. You feel that you have earned your pain and are very unhappy with your life. It all relates to the degree of approval that your parents gave you. You may feel that your trauma keeps you safe, this has affected your inability to make decisions and to truly feel supported.
” I make decisions based on the principles of truth, and I rest securely knowing that only right action is taking place in my life.”
Louise Hay.
Hi Chaquista, due to degree of your teeth problems you are being forced to deal with older unresolved issues that span many lifetimes. It will have involved withe a lack of decision-making, made worse by a lack of support for any decisions that you would have wanted to make.
” I am a decisive person. I follow through and support myself with love.
I make my decisions based on the principles of truth.
I rest securely knowing that only the right action is taking place in my life.”

Hi Tony
I hope you don’t mind me looking for some clarity on some gum issues I have been having the past 2 years since I had my son .my front lower teeth have started to recede the incisors and the tooth next to my right incisor that tooth pushes out more than the rest and was the first to recede .I have a lot of inflammation swelling on my top left side behind my incisor and neighbouring teeth and my back molars on top are receding (second last tooth on top each side ) yellow plaque is forming and gums have white pus forming .I am trying everything to no avail. I have had a very hard time since the birth of my son and I know theese issues are emotional but don’t know exactly what .thank you for taking the time to read this ..
Hi Leyanne, the birth of your son triggered memories around your birth and childhood, due to your trauma or feeling your mother’s trauma in which there was a lack of support around decision making.
With teeth problems there is very often, a similar ancestral pattern.
Tony thank you so much for getting back to me I truly appreciate it .it’s funny you say that about carrying my mother’s trauma and I have always said that I feel like I’m living out my mother’s traumas.. is there a way of solving this problem ? Can you help ? My mam had a problem with receding gums around same age she ended up getting veneers as they got so bad..can you help with this I can book session if possible ?
Hi Leyanne, here is the link: https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments/
I had a new front left crown fitted 4 weeks ago. After having an old one for many years. I’m 58. Since then the gums are very swollen & painful. Just cannot seem to find a cure. Antibiotics I reacted badly to. Came out in a rash & swollen joints. Just don’t know what up to. Wondering g if a session with you might help. Ice helps a little. Have taken echinacea, silver, ginger, turmeric.
Hello Catherine, yes, I feel a session could be of benefit.
Hi Tony, your page is very I insightful. I have receding gums upper left and right side of my teeth and swelling with a lump down the left side of my upper gum and my front teeth are bucking out. I’m sure there is more to this. Any suggestions of what could be the cause and how I fix this?
Hi Bec, you have lacked joy in your life with a learned helplessness due to a lack of support, which has continued into your present situation. Making decisions have been difficult, made worse by a lack of support for any decisions.
You have experienced considerable grief due to a lack of nurturing. The right gums represent a lack of a sense of safety and a lack of trust in the world.
Be more decisive and decide to support yourself with any decisions you make.
Hello! I am so grateful to find this resource. The back of my top teeth (near my gums) chipped as i was brushing my teeth last night. 2 very very small pieces of my teeth. I noticed the small piece of skin between the two had lifted a few months ago and slowly my upper teeth have pushed forward. I’ve also noticed that my lower teeth alignment has shifted even though i was a permanent retainer glued to the back of my boot I’m teeth. The right side of my bottom teeth have shifted in. I’m curious to know your insight. As well as the connection between the jaw and hips. Thank you so much for your time! Much love ❤️
Hello, Whitley, there is a deep frustration regarding moving forward in your life. You feel unable to translate your feelings and intentions into e4ffective action. Your determination has not found a place to go.
You may also find there is a lack of support for any decision-making. You feel unsafe in a world that you feel that yo cannot make a difference.
Affirmations by Louise Hay:
” I am willing to change the patterns in me that caused this condition. I love and approve of myself. I am safe.” (Jaw problems)
” I am in perfect balance. I move forward in life with ease and with joy at every age.” ( hip problems)

Hi tony, great article. I’ve had the lower right back molars out recently after a week of abscess and antibiotics hoping to not have them out. The last molar had a root canal for over 20 years with infection at the bottom roots as the root canal didn’t get all the way down. Then the tooth next to it had a cavity that got infected. It’s been a long few weeks. The article says unresolved issues with father. That makes sense since my dad died when I was 27 during a second open heart surgery. Any other insights? I have a feeling it’s to do with the toxic masculinity from my grandfathers who died b4 I was born. Both were alcoholic workaholic abusers of woman and children. How can I move this through? Cord cutting and sage?
Hi Lee, we are unaware of how much we absorb our ancestor’s and subsequently our parent’s deep hidden feelings. Both your grandfather and father carried feelings of self-accusing and self-rejection, due to being made to feel “bad”, “wrong”, and, even “evil” for being who they were.
An aspect can then be “picked up” by the children. Start focusing on your positive qualities and dreams.
Hi Tony
I’ve just cracked my tooth – upper right – two teeth after the incisor. Never happened to me before and my colleague also did the same a few days ago. Definitely feel it has a deeper meaning.
Hi Sylvie, the meridians relating to those particular teeth are lung and large intestine. There may be chronic grief, sadness, overwhelm, controlling, feeling trapped and dogmatic.
Hi. I keep having oral thrush and swelled gums, bleeding sometimes. Im trying to understand my emotions and it scares me what I say isnt enough tofix the problem.
Hi Jennifer, you may have a great deal of resentment as a result of not being able to express yourself. You feel pushed and manipulated into circumstances that are causing you a great deal of despair. You are denying your own needs.
Thank you. Not resentment but im terrified. That last part is correct about being pushed causing me to despair.
Hi Jennifer, the resentment may be deeply hidden.
Warm wishes.
Hello I’m so happy to find this thread.
My dentist took an x-ray as I have been experiencing sensitivity on the upper left molars Turns out a cyst under the crowned tooth. Antibiotics prescribed…I sense there is so much more linked to my anxiety.
Hello Anna,
You have been nursing old hurts that you have allowed to build up. Time to realize your true value.
hello Tony, i have teeth decay/ cavity when i was 18 years. many fillings and i got 3 teeth for tooth canal treatment already,, in these years, my teeths decay is getting worse, some fillings fall out ….recently. 2 of my wisom teeths (left side_) & 2 molar recently get chipped, dentist just recommend root canal treatment due to infection…i am so worring,,,,sad ,dont know what to do….dun want to get root canal treatment….. i feel this maybe related to my pressure of study. i didnt do well, and i dun want to lose in the course., i am losed in direction. and not sure what to do next ….should i stop the course now or finish it… maybe low self esteem,,i feel that i have to put lots of effort to perform better…and i sometimes dun speak up for myself when communicating,,, Could you advise? how can i heal my infected teeth….and regrow it ?
As teeth relate to decision making and gums relate to support in making your decisions this certainly relates to where you are at the moment. Perhaps you were not allowed to make decisions as a child, as well as your confidence being undermined. These are areas that I work on. Your body is the messenger.
Hi Tony, my lower two front teeth and their neighbors have receding gums, which have darkened st the gum line. My teeth were always in great shape until the last couple of years as menopause set in. I had gum inflammation (that would come n go) that I attributed to having Rheumatoid Arthritis.
The current condition has me baffled as I do subscribe to our bodies trying to talk to us when we are unwell. I have felt “stuck” regarding stepping out to share my wisdom.
Any insight or direction is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Suzanne, as the lower teeth that you are referring to relate to the kidney and bladder meridians there is a feeling of fearful isolation, together with sexual insecurity and indecision. There may be a fear of imminent disaster. There may also be a lack of inner direction, feeling controlled, and feeling restless and impatient.
Thank you, Tony. Your reference to feelings of restlessness and impatience def resonates. What is your suggestion to address bladder and kidney meridians?
Hi Suzanne,
For the bladder meridian, see yourself full of peace and harmony and in control of your life.
For the kidney meridian, appreciate being alive and learning from your mistakes. See your sexual energies as balanced. Last but not least, be gentle on yourself.
Hi, I just found your page and am fascinated. I have had a lifetime of dental issues which have gone from cavities to root canals to infected root canals. I am not started to remove the root canals and am devastated. How can I resolve the underlying issues so to be at peace with my body going forward ? Also my son who just started college called to say he had a wisdom tooth (lower left) that is partially covered and is in a great deal of pain. His teeth are otherwise healthy and fine. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time and wisdom!
Hi Elise, your foundations and ways of doing things have been destroyed. As a result you have lost your grounding and your roots. Your son is not giving himself enough mental space to create a firm foundation.
Tony, lm so thankful a friend put me onto your page. Recently, l have experienced bottom right , 2nd molar tooth pain, maybe more the gum bc it has receded so much. Has an old amalgam filling, old root canal and crown. I believe as a child in school, dental van used my teeth to practice on bc l don’t recall having teeth issues growing up. I also had two bottom teeth removed bc dentist said too many teeth. Thankyou for your time and feedback.
Hi Lisa, the feeling behind the bottom right, 2nd molar is a self-sabotaging pattern due being belittled as a child. The root canal reflects a certain loss of direction.
Warm wishes
I have had ongoing issues with gum recession and some bone loss. My dentist has seen improvements in some areas but worsening on some including upper left side, although she struggling to determine what’s causing it. I was quiet anxious about not being able to feel what the underlying emotional causes are.
My gum/teeth issues trigger a lot of fear I would like to clear.
Hi Kate, you have difficulty in handling your instinctive, intuitive, and spontaneous reactions. There is also a problem coming to effective decisions, as well as being afraid to take assertive stands and actions. Your confidence and competence was undermined in your former years.
Hi my whole mouth is in flames. Bottom right side is aching to gj Ed point of madness. Right side of the jaw has balloned out and looks like someone has punched me. Teeth on upper side falling out 2 in 4 days. Big trouble
Hi Gloria. you have created a learned helplessness and difficulty in making decisions. This has been the result of a lack of nurturing, grounding and teaching in your former years. The result can be a resistance to taking responsibility. The swelling and pain reflects a seething emotional hurt and anger due to feeling restricted and over-worked.
Thank you so much for your insights, do you have any suggestions on how I can begin to heal these areas? Much appreciated…
Hi Kate, emotionally and spiritually, make definite Do not decisions on what you want and where you you want to find your joy and inspiration. You can accept support from others if it is for your highest good. Otherwise stand up on your own two feet and embrace your future.
I have severe wisdom tooth pain in my lower left side and it cannot be removed as its root is touching the nerve.
I feel stuck in many ways in life. I am 53 and am unable to make any decision about my future to be happy.
Is that the cause?
Hi Vidya, you are not giving yourself enough mental space to create a firm foundation. This was due a great deal of underlying grief and and fear over growing up with insufficient support. This left you with a fear of opening up to the expansion of life. You have a fear that if you do something dreadful would happen. It is a case of ” Feel the fear and do it anyway.”
Hi Tony….this is fascinating!ive had crooked, unhealthy teeth my whole life.My motherdrank alcohol and smoked while pregnant with me.I was born premature, lungs full of mucous…..as a result I have realized how extremely angry I am at her lack of love and support. In my 60’snow…lower teeth are a little loose anx currently gums are swollen and painful. Im salt water rinsing, oil pulling, rinsing with aloe vera and brushing eith charcoal toothpaste but the infection is still present.
I appreciate what you said–, I have had little to no support, particularly from my parents and was not allowed to speak up.
Thought I had made peace with ths…..any suggestions?
Thanks,Im in pain.
Sincerely,
Pamela H.
Hi Pamela, I can see you have had a tough journey. I can work with the emotional cause of the condition to ease some of the pressure you have experienced in life.
On a practical note, I have found hydrogen peroxide quite amazing as a mouthwash. Just google the dosage.
Warm wishes

I have a lip ulcer bottom right side of my lip and aching in the bottom Front part of my teeth I feel overwhelmed with my responsibility’s as a single mom.
Hi Lena, I can see how overwhelmed you are by your responsibilities as a single mother. However, it is your deep unconscious feelings of resentment and judgment that are held back and festering that are being unexpressed. You may not have been allowed to talk back as a child.
Keep on repeating Louise Hay’s affirmation.” I create only joyful experiences in my loving world.”
Hi, I’ve got gum disease and receding gums. I’ve lost 3 teeth so far and now have 3 more moving and 1 literally hanging in there. I can’t get a dentist here in UK. I have few back teeth so eating and chewing is now a struggle. It’s the large molars at the back on both sides that I’m losing.
As the teeth relate to decision making, the gums represent supporting those decisions. You have a background of vulnerability due to a lack of nurturing. Warm wishes
This is so interesting, thank you 🙏 I seem to get pain in my partially grown wisdom tooth on my bottom left side when I express anger in not a positive way and I tend to loathe myself after for it. It comes up as that I have something stuck in my gum and therefore swells up. I’ve been to the dentist to have it cleaned and resolved many a time that they actually might remove it soon. Would it be bad to do this? I am a very indecisive person so can very much relate to Louise Hay’s message too. Thank you for reading this comment ! Charlotte
Hello Charlotte. You have been “digging your heels in” and not giving yourself the mental space to create a firm for yourself. There is a great deal of underlying grief and fear over growing up with insufficient support.
Just came across your blog, I am from Canada. So very grateful with this information. I just recently got a tooth ache in my upper left molar tooth. I know I don’t have a cavity as I’ve already been to the dentist a year ago and reversed it. This problem started happening when I reached out to my mother about getting my sisters contact information, I haven’t spoken with my sister in years. My family is very dysfunctional. She said she had to ask for my sisters permission before doing so and then reported back to me that she didn’t ask her because she’s going through stuff and now isn’t the time to put the pressure on her.
Hi Shaneen, you have difficulty in handling your instinctive, intuitive, and spontaneous reactions, as well as coming to effective decisions. You have problems with your own authority and power, as you are afraid to take assetive actions and stans. The reason could be a fear of abandonment and rejection.
Hello Tony, I appreciate your generosity in answering questions like this.. I’m not sure where to look for help since I have absolutely no trust in western medicine and not a lot of money to just try everyone and everything.. my 10 year old sons baby teeth that have already fallen out have all disintegrated. We eat as organically as possible and i do my best to feed them according to medical medium, Anthony Williams, advice but this is a bit of a concern since it seems all the men in my family have severe weakness of teeth. I am big time follower of Louise Hay and have shared her work with many as it has helped me become aware of so much of my own stuff and lead me to so much self healing, I am a massage therapist, so also work with people in the world of natural and self healing. If you have any advice on how I can lead my son towards his own healing I’d be so grateful.. I don’t expect you to work for free but again don’t have a lot and am ambitious enough to get things done on my own with minimal guidance, MUCH MUSH GRATITUDE FOR ALL THAT YOURE DOING HERE WITH ME ON THIS PLANET RIGHT NOW, SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BLESSING, THANK YOU 🥰🙏🤗💖
Hi Karli, I have answered by email. However if I can help in any other way, please let me know.
It’s an heartbreaking barrier in social expressions.. I find it difficult to even put up a cute smile .. its really killing me silent. Please help !!
Hi David, you can make an appointment on this website if you want assistance in addressing your challenges. Warm wishes.
so relieved to have found you, grateful for any insights you can offer for this acute situation…
one year ago i made a total life changing decision in moving to a magnificent energetically powerful mountain home that has been calling me for years….wrapping up my old life proved very stressful mentally and physically with also much work renovating the new house, resulting in absolute exhaustion … developing painful arthritis flare ups this winter, feeling perhaps this mountain is being bombarded by nearby 5G cell tower radiation !
i love it here & also really dreading another move so soon but my body is screaming at me for some change!
last week suddenly noticing gums rapidly receding on front teeth and left incisor…. today great sensitivity and painful biting.
no swelling, no bleeding, healthy pink color….have been rinsing with h.peroxide and echinecea tincture.
yes i do indeed feel alone, apprehensive, unsupported and uninspired about finding a new place to live….hoping for suggestions and new perspective?
many blessings and gratitude for your work here!
victoria
Hi Victoria,
There is a connection between arthritis and gum problems, as you have internalised your anger but may not always admit that you are holding on to anger. You have dissociated from others, preferring to isolate yourself. You often get caught up with issues that are self-created. You have become stuck in self-sabotaging patterns that add to self-destructive and self-punishing patterns. Where does it leave us if we criticise those who criticise us?
This is the time to decide to love and appreciate yourself. Support yourself with love and look at what yuou have acheived, despite your challenges.
Warm wishes

Once the emotional root is dealt with, will the gum tissue and bone loss regenerate? Will the body repair its self?
Hi Erin, let’s put it like this: Once the root emotional cause of gum disease and teeth problems are addressed there is much more chance of the gums regenerating and teeth problems easing off.
I lost my three front teeth “Upper” as a child 7 years through trauma.. how can I make it come back . Since then I feel like something authoritative has been taken from me rill date.
Please help 🙏
Hello David,
The top front teeth represent a lack of groundedness and a fear of taking risks to learn. In the background, there may be a fearful isolation and even a fear of imminent disaster. Also sexual insecurity and indecision.
I appreciate your efforts on trying to explain to me, but i still don’t get it . Please can you go a bit more simpler and further . Thanks
Hi David,in what way are your teeth and/or gums affecting you?
I see you put up gums regenerate, this I believe is not true, maybe gums will get healthier in some way but if your saying you can regenerate gums then please count me in as I suffer badly
Hi Michaela, I cannot regenerate your gums. However, I could help you regenerate your own gums, as part of the emotional feelings behind gum disease is the lack of support.
I am going though some very disturbing issues with my gums and loss of teeth.I recognize I have a lot of anger and problem with boundaries.do not know how to resolve it other than going to the endodontist, dentist, oral surgeon. Thank you
Hi Claudia, the cause of your gum and teeth problems will continue while you carry so much unexpressed anger. To address the source of your anger without overreacting, even if the person has moved on, will help. Should you like my help to release the anger, you can book a zoom appointment via my appointments page of my website.
I hear u I am going through the exact same thing.
The last time I walked out of the dentists I ended up crying because every time I go he has to remove another tooth.
The bone loss is getting worse and worse.
Anyway after coming to the conclusion that my problem is too advanced for a normal dentist I started looking into other things and I discovered a laser treatment which is supposed to be brilliant for gum problems and can apparently help the bone to regrow and help receding gums aswell and stop people from losing more teeth aswell as other things.
I’m hoping to go for a consultation once I’ve got the finances.
I’ve being to a periodontist aswell who was able to help more than the normal Dentist.
After doing some research and wasting time with unproductive trips that only resulted losing more and more teeth I think one of the best options for people in our situation is to consider the laser gum treatment.
If u type laser gum treatment or something like that in the search engine you should see info about it and places that offer it
Thanks for sharing that Claudia. Additionally, it would be worth researching hydrogen peroxide and urine therapy as it has been proven to heal gums and much more. More info here. https://urotherapyresearch.com/urotherapy-webinar/?fbclid=IwAR3LJHZ1PXNy6558oCnMotpGtZBIUaC6STl-2Sx9ZJ8FpLmCLxQWdpyP9DU. Warm wishes.
Hello Tony
I am a mouth breather and
Teeth grinder – which I believe is related 💁♀️
I had braces as a child but now have teeth that are not straight as a child.
My gums aches
I feel like I need to release this pain- can you help?
Hello Sarah,
You have a real fear of expressing emotions. You are a nice person who is repressing chronic anger, resentment and hostility. It is time to trust yourself. There seems to be some achievement pressure stemming from your childhood which undermined your self-trust.
I can help you in regaining your power.
Long story … love serendipity.
Colour yellow and golden streams. 🙏💛

Hi Elizabeth, your throat chakra has probably been blocked due to suppressed self-expression and your crown chakra has been disrupted due to an early trauma. Should you like my help, we can meet over Zoom. https://energetic-wisdom.co.uk/appointments/ Warm wishes, Tony Mills.
Wow, I googled this. There is a book which I couldn’t remember the name that is similar to this idea. This is everything I am going through because of covid related trauma it has taken a toll on my mouth. Not being able to literally speak( masks). This is very interesting.
This is very true Amy. The throat and thyroid can also be affected due to suppressed communication.
Thank you for your excellent information. My teeth issues began with baby teeth and continued through my 80’s. I believed my issues have been unresolved for lifetimes. I have more clarity after reading your article❤️🙏❤️
Hi Shellie, I am glad I have given you some insight.Warm wishes.
I keep having problems with my lower left wisdom tooth. It partially grew in and keeps getting food stuck in it which the dentist helps remove. It’s happened again recently, I’m skeptical to get it removed because I feel that there is a deeper meaning to it. My mum thinks it’s stress, I feel it happens after I have an argument and actually express anger believe it or not! it is a very sore and throbbing feeling. I would love to know if it could just be food or something more. Thank you 🙏
Hi Charlotte. You have been “digging your heels in” by not giving yourself the mental space to create a firm foundation for yourself.
I can say personally I have noticed this is true about suppressing aggression and teeth/mouth/gum issues. In particular I noticed strong relief when watching Teal Swan’s video on ‘Parts Works’ – mainly in my right jaw area where an infection was present. Immediately after getting in touch with my ‘aggressive side’ that feels strong resentment towards women and embracing it lovingly, I felt a level of relief all over the right side of my face that I never knew was possible.
Most of us have no clue what to do with our aggression nor do we know where it comes from or how to resolve it. We assume that suppression is ‘healthy’ and ‘good’ since its good not to act on it – which is true to an extent. It’s good not to act on it, but constantly suppressing it isn’t the same as resolution which is far more beneficial to everyone.
Thank you for your wise words, Daniel. the body always speaks the truth. My purpose is to find that truth and work with it until the body no longer has to express it.
